SSM 2012 Knutstorp Race 2
The raceweekend of the year, SSM!
Good start again, but then almost hits the Lotus, which are unable to get into 2:nd gear.
My first podium, and I VERY proud to have the fastest laptime of all cars in this race on lap 7.

2012 Shakedown Sala Racing Park
Practise lap around the small circuit Sala Racing Park
Initial testing with all the winter changes proved good, cars work fine and has a little oversteery tendensies, which makes it alot of fun to drive! This in combination with 10% more torque (and even more then that at low revs) make the car so much more fun this year. Looking forward to go racing on a real track!

ECU Crystal mod with Dyno Results
Hi,
I own a 1995 Eunos Roadster 1.8L (Mazda Mx-5). Engine is unmodified except a cold air intake and different exhaust. This Swedish winter I have worked on improving the engine, and had the opportunity to also the to get bottom of this Crystal ECU mod. Here we go...
Last summer, I changed the crystal in the ECU, to raise the rev limiter by 5,75%. It worked good, but alot of discussion where whether it also gave some performance gain. Today I got results from dyno run with and without the crystal mod.

- I have two ECUs,
- The first one is an unmodified ECU from Japan (orginal in the car).
- The Second one I bought on ebay for ~€10. It from a 1995 Mx-5 sold in UK.
- I ran both without modification on the road, without any difference in feel what so ever.
- I replaced the original 8MHz crystal for a 8.47MHz crystal in the UK ECU.

As you can see, the result is quite clear, I did get more power.
The only uncertainty in this test is that we didn't test this with the same ECU hardware, but the software in the ECU was checked and is identical.
Conclusion
Either the hardware is different (unlikely) or the Crystal mod does work both for raising the revlimiter and give you some extra horse power, almost for free.

Introduction
Let's get started!
We @ Team Lejban Racing are proud to present "Puliga Paola" our brand new 15 years old race.. hmm racing street car! It will succeed in having fun and place well below top 3. With that we have hired the zero experienced unknown master driver Tobias Nyström, well... me to drive this car without great finess and quite slow hopefully to the end of this season.
It all started as a great idéa last year. As nothing in the world is impossible (prove me wrong if you dare!) I set out to build a race car. Six month later, ready to race!

Testing Mantorp
Vi byggde klart det sista i depån, så det fann ingen tid att ställa in nått, så dämparna är aldeles för mjuka, bilen understyr en hel del, och jag var fruktansvärt trött efter att jobba heltid och jobba en heltid till i garaget för att få ihop bilen. Dämparna kom 18.30 på tisdagskvällen tex...
Så oinställd bil, oskärpt förare och fullt med standardbilar och en läskig draracingbil på banan samtidigt blev det lite spännande.
Men bilen höll och vi hade riktigt jävla kul! Belöningen efter allt slit i vinter och jag har fortfarande ett leende på läpparna nu två dagar efteråt!
Så oinställd bil, oskärpt förare och fullt med standardbilar och en läskig draracingbil på banan samtidigt blev det lite spännande.
Men bilen höll och vi hade riktigt jävla kul! Belöningen efter allt slit i vinter och jag har fortfarande ett leende på läpparna nu två dagar efteråt!
